King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah is one of the biggest and most important airports in Saudi Arabia. It covers an area of 15 km². On its territory there is a proper port, as well as facilities of the Royal Saudi Air Force and apartments for airport employees. What makes it different from all the other airports? What distinguishes the port of Jeddah is the Hajj Terminal, specially designed for service foreign pilgrims going to Mecca. It is considered to be one of the largest terminals in the world, has an area of 465,000 m² and can simultaneously accommodate up to 800,000 passengers. It was built to meet the expectations of pilgrims as much as possible – they also have a large mosque at their disposal.
